Job Description

ATA, the #1 distributor of the largest heavy duty bus & truck lift manufacturer in the U.S., seeks trainable equipment Service Technician and Lift Installer to work in Western North Carolina. Some training will be completed in and around Northern Virginia and may include overnight travel.  The training period will be paid.  Length of training will depend on skill.  Company provides health insurance and generous benefit package, including yearly bonuses, once introductory period is complete. 

Qualified applicant will have mechanical training and interest in working on heavy duty vehicle lifts, air compressors, exhaust systems, lube equipment, tanks, etc.  The position will provide you with a company vehicle, cell phone, iPad, and credit card and require you to travel throughout Western North Carolina and Southern Virginia. This is a Monday through Friday position which requires travel. Often you will be home every night, however, if needed you will spend nights in hotels with all travel expenses paid.

The technician will work independently following a provided work schedule and feel confident repairing and servicing a variety of heavy duty equipment with specific focus on Lifting Systems.  After a year of employment, ALI (Automotive Lift Institute) certification should be acquired on the job.
