Candidates will be required to Travel 3/4 days a week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Assist in all aspects of maintenance, repair, and construction project management of corporate stores and leased properties. Complete maintenance or construction project tasks that ensure the store locations meet safety, appearance, and operational standards established by the W.S. Badcock Corporation. Oversee outsourced maintenance and construction projects within the region.

  • Perform a variety of general maintenance, preventative maintenance or repair work in a variety of areas including (but not limited to): Strong HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and/or carpet and tile flooring repairs.
  • Perform site visits and due diligence inspections; evaluate overall site condition; determine course of action (if any), make repairs and/or verify quality of workmanship of outside vendor.
  • Coordinate and facilitate store maintenance projects.
  • Assist in maintaining ADA compliance for all corporate properties.
  • Submit timely and accurate status reports related projects and work orders.
  • Communicate with all those necessary to complete projects (employees, vendors, property owners, contractors, etc…).
  • Prepare requests to approved vendors for estimates or repairs to stores, as needed.
  • Coordinate / confirm between department management and location the shipping/delivery of material/components as scheduled.
  • Assist in the procurement of dealer and corporate “as-built” drawings.
  • Assist with gathering estimates for store maintenance and construction projects.
  • Adhere to established project schedules.
  • Ability to locate and screen new vendors/contractors, as needed
  • Assist in other regions, as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent  required and one year of technical or trade school preferred
  • Three years of HVAC, building maintenance experience
  • Valid, clean driver’s license and the ability to frequently travel and stay overnight.
  • Ability to identify quality workmanship and/or negligence of contractors.
  • Ability to recognize maintenance issues and determine necessary course of action.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; assimilate information and make decisions; work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Planning and forecasting skills.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, kneel. Climb and work from ladders.
  • Refrigerant usage certification required
