Job Description

Our client is a premium Aluminum Boat Manufacturer, specializing in high speed landing craft and we are staffing an Electrical Finishing Technician.  This is a position that has room for great personal growth and advancement!

Shifts are 4/10 Mon. – Thur. 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Responsibilities and requirements are the following skills;

  • Candidate will be capable of visualizing, work-shopping and installing engineered and "as built" engine support systems, accessory brackets, hangers, engine and equipment mounting beds, exhaust through hull piercings, watertight wiring and cable runs as well as placing and tack welding brackets for mounting of said items.
  • Candidate will possess solid experience in assembling mechanical and or electrical operating systems to include Marine Electronics, D/C and A/C electrical systems, electric over hydraulic systems as it applies to an engine room and support equipment environment and the manufacture of marine craft under factory scheduling.
  • Candidate will work from a staging area for equipment and or picked parts bin to facilitate the scope of work scheduled.
  • Candidate will work from drawings, blueprints and manuals. Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals and other technical documentation for job completion and will be responsible for set-up and correct installation of various modern propulsion systems, such as; gas and diesel powered jet drives, stern drive systems, outboards, shaft drives, surface piercing drives etc.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, who can work under minimal supervision and in a team environment, while possessing good communication skills.
  • Candidate interacts physically and verbally, with welding department to facilitate understanding of assembly processes and timing of added weld on items.
  • Candidate must also be able to plan and install standardized and custom electrical and mechanical layouts, prior to installation of marine accessories.
  • Candidate will have understanding of sound deadening/acoustic mounted panels, and engine drive sound isolation practices.
  • Candidate will possess the ability to troubleshoot installations, as they apply to suitability and preparation for testing.
  • Candidate must be able to work within the schedule parameters while maintaining work place safety. Candidate must have tools needed for specified field.
